Sigh
Here is yet another game that you cannot legally purchase because – for whatever reason – the developer decided to delist it everywhere.
You can no longer buy Tiny Troopers on iOS, Android, Windows, or Mac. Because this game never got a physical release, you can’t even buy a second hand copy. If you don’t already own this game, the only way to acquire it is through illegal means like piracy
This is unfortunate because Tiny Troopers was actually a well-loved game. On Steam, it had an 81% postive rating based on 1,204 reviews. Tiny Troopers was especially popular in India and the Philippines – for good reason.
Basically, Tiny Troopers was similar to top down strategy shooter games like Cannon Fodder and Commandos except Tiny Troopers was much more cute, had a better tutorial, and was easier to pick up and play. Anyone could start Tiny Troopers and get going.
It also helped that Tiny Troopers had an enjoyable low poly look that was popular on mobile platforms. No one was mistaking this game for Crysis but during 2012, this was pretty nice if you were a budget gamer.
The sound was also enjoyable. The Tiny Troopers had voices similar to one of those Despicable Me minions. The effects were neat. As for the music, it was your military marching band material that gets you into the mood.
Kukouri Mobile Entertainment developed Tiny Troopers, and this company mostly just makes Tiny Troopers games even now. At one time, they tried to branch out with Pixel Worlds but that game didn’t nearly have the same popularity as Tiny Troopers.
I have a feeling that the reason Kukouri delisted Tiny Troopers was because they thought they could convert more people into buying Tiny Troopers: Global Ops. I suspect this because when you visit Tiny Troopers old Steam page, they’re urging you to buy Global Ops instead.
It looks like delisting the original game to promote the sequel has largely blown up in Kukouri’s face because hardly anyone has bought Global Ops, and those that have complain about it not being as good as Tiny Troopers. I suspect the delisting has resulted in lots of pissed off fans.
If Tiny Troopers was available, I’d probably recommend it. Alas, the developer clearly doesn’t want you to buy the game.

I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
Many FOSS projects rely on donations. If you have money to spare but don't know which to donate to take a look at the above links on Ko-fi, Github, and Open Collective. Anything on there that I have sponsered or contributed to is something I have found to be worthy.
