On the ThinkPad X13 that I am getting ready for a customer, the CPU clocked down to only 0.40 Ghz in Windows 11 (not sure if it is specifically a Windows problem). Super slow.

I've seen something like this before on older ThinkPad laptops, so I knew what to try first.

Lenovo System Update was installed, so I ran that. Took so long to check for drivers and updates. A BIOS update was available. Applied that

After applying the BIOS, the slow clocked down CPU problem was gone.

Have any of you run into this clocked down BIOS issue on ThinkPad or other laptops?

I had a relaxing day yesterday playing with the OpenBox window manager on a ThinkPad X270 laptop (my daily driver).

The color matching of the icons and the rofi accent color turned out well. I usually just go with the defaults most of the time, but the defaults on a basic OpenBox install are too limited.

I learned a lot about the OpenBox rc.xml configuration, set a lot of my own keybinds. It was an enjoyable experience.

The rofi window switching works so well, taking you to exactly the window that you want even if it is on a different desktop.
