I need to resize a GNU/Linux desktop for a broken display where the bottom 60 pixel rows no longer work. I know about xrandr and I already know how to use that to solve similar problems, but does anyone know if a GUI tool exists to set custom screen sizes that are not offered by default for those that are less familiar with the CLI?
Excellent intro to #Neovim and #LazyVim, explaining some of the basics, configuration steps, how Lazy works, and more. Looking forward to the next episode. https://youtube.com/watch?v=zHTeCSVAFNY&si=PMT421YdCNNQmakY
Thinking about getting a gift for a GNU-loving friend or family member? Then, now is a great time to place that order! How about the GNU beanie, a baby gnu, or the "Emacs de Luxe" bundle? Taking orders now and until December 15: https://shop.fsf.org/ #GNUPress

I am still thinking of #FOSDEM 2024.
- I have many things to show, and many people to see
- I have ready to show presentation about #PineTime and #Amazfish
- I am considering also #NemoMobile as Qt6 based images are near.
- I can join #MobileStand with #NemoMobile and #AsteroidOS. I can probably arrange also #CutiePi to show
There is also the other side:
- last year was my talk rejected
- it is a little over my budget (cheap hostel feels uncomfortable)
- traveling is exhausting (am I old?)

"What would happen if any of the Bluetooth hearing aids manufacturers decided not to provide updates for models of which the warranty expired? Well, if the software on these hearing aids were free (as in freedom), then the free software community could help keep it updated." The #DataGrabBill ignores a critical concern for privacy: the rise of biometrics.
It leaves surveillance tech like facial recognition and CCTV open for police and local authorities to use unhindered by effective oversight or data rights.

I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
Many FOSS projects rely on donations. If you have money to spare but don't know which to donate to take a look at the above links on Ko-fi, Github, and Open Collective. Anything on there that I have sponsered or contributed to is something I have found to be worthy.
