Fractal has been completely rewritten with a GTK4/libadwaita makeover.

We have a new subscriber to our 200 for TROM campaign www.tromsite.com/donate/ !! Via Paypal this time. So it seems to work now. There might be some weird redirects before or after donating so we will have to investigate, but it seems to work at least.

Thanks you to everyone who is supporting TROM! #tromlive

In a world where technology can mean the difference between life and death, can we afford the restrictions proprietary software places on progress? Watch and share "Rewind" (Spoiler alert: the answer is "no".) u.fsf.org/rewind

Reading is a better use of your time than a great many other things. The world suffers more from a lack of readers than it does from an overabundance of them.

I am biased, to be fair. I get to read wonderful words written by writers all over the country, and for that I am blessed.

I disable suspend and get ~10-12 hours standby, but realistically I get 4-5 with normal usage.

On a normal day, it doesn't matter since my L5 goes from a home charger to a work charger. If I amm out and about though, I bring a battery pack and have no problem getting through the day.

This week's donation went to KeePassXC. It's a fantastic FOSS password manager that you can find in your distro repo; a PPA; Flatpak and an App Image. You can use it on Linux; BSD; Mac and Windows. The code is licensed using GPLV2.0 and GPLv3.0.

The project's official website is here:

The team has a presence on Mastodon and Matrix:

They accept donations through a variety of methods including FOSS options such as Open Collective and Liberapay.

Every now and then people wonder how to replace #phosh's on screen keyboard and what interfaces are needed. Here's some notes on that: phosh.mobi/posts/phosh-osk-int

Why do windows programs insist that spitting out raw memory contents and addreses is the same as printing errors and catching named exceptions?

I know the latter is possible, most Linux programs do

Tutorial, Create Custom TechDraw Templates.
The Technical Drawing or TechDraw workbench is an integral part of FreeCAD allowing us to create beautiful technical drawings of our parts or assemblies. In a world of CNC milling and 3D printing it’s still essential at times to be able to supply someone with a technical drawing to help plan the making of a part. A technical drawing can also be extreme

My modification to my OpenWorld class was to add a string for the objects data folder, a flag for wether or not it was a single open world and tweaks to the loading and saving functions. It was pretty quick but now I can have multiple open worlds in a single game with far greater ease. Instead of having to implement paths for a single world or multiple worlds each project I can now just name a world and flag it as a planet so the data is saved in a folder for just that planet.

This builds in better data organization and took me maybe 30 minutes to do 😀

I think on the 30st this month I will do a long livestream for TROM to explain some stuff about the future of this project, my plans, etc.. And to try and get more people to join our 200 for TROM if possible - www.tromsite.com/donate/

I will announce the exact hour these days. ;)

Finishing the day with the most basic feature a time tracker can possibly have: recording a period of time. ⏱️

This is #annextimelog, the :gitannex: #gitAnnex based time tracker I'm making in the hope that it'll suit me better than #timewarrior or plain #hledger #timeclock.

I love adding configurably crazy amounts of debug output (-vvvvvvvv 😉) to my programs and @textualize's rich makes this a bliss!
