This week in F-Droid (TWIF) with news about the following apps was published:

- Element with an update and a fix for a critical bug
- The Fossify fork of Simple Mobile Tools has now 2 additional apps: File Manager and Calendar
- Kore was downgraded due to a non FOSS dependency
- Transportr is back after more than a year

Also, we've had 8 more new apps, 2 removed ones and 150 updated apps.

This week's donation went to Trisquel. It's a libre focussed Linux distro whose goal is to not have any closed source software in their repos and not to have any closed source blobs in the kernel. They're one of my favorite FLOSS distros and they have a great forum as well. If you're looking to get rid of software blobs from your system I would give them a try. They are on the FSF approved distro list.

FOSS bootloader "Limine" has been updated to version 7.0. It's a minor update with a couple bug fixes. One is a fix for newline handling when reading user input lines and the other fixes versions of external dependencies in "bootstrap" script. Limine is a portable, multiprotocol bootloader that supports Linux, multiboot1 and 2, the native Limine boot protocol, and more. The code is licensed using the BSD-2-Clause license.

* spent the entire day down a vast rabbit hole of ancient Fedora/EL release perl packaging stuff, trying to help a project which really didn't care to be helped. I should've taken a hint and quit sooner, but I am bad at stopping in the middle of things. Oh, well

This week's donation went to FOSS RTS game "OpenHV". It's a Open Source 90s Pixelart Science-Fiction Real Time Strategy game with Multiplayer (LAN and internet) support, competent skirmish AI as well as an integrated map editor. The code is licensed using GPLv3.0 for the code and Creative Commons Attribution_ShareAlike v4.0 International for the assets. The game is available on Github; as a Flatpak as well as on Itch.io. The game is made using the OpenRA engine.

I'm pleased to see how Framework handled the issue of a consulting partner getting phished and sharing customer data with an attacker. The emails to customers seems prompt, it explains the situation clearly with transparent timelines, and provides clear and reasonable steps for their partners and their customers.
