The Linux Libre kernel has been updated to version 6.8. A whole bunch more blobs had to be removed to keep it fully libre. This continues to be one of the best kernels to use if privacy and security are your top concerns as it keeps closed source blobs to a miniumum that do God knows what.

When mercury is added to aluminum, it forms an amalgam (a mercury alloy). Aluminum is normally protected by a thick oxide layer, but the formation of the amalgam disrupts it.

It allows fresh aluminum to react with air to form white aluminum oxide. As the oxide grows, it forms as these cool white fibers.

I didn't realise there were so many out there.
So true. Adequate backup is the solution to the "ransomware" problem.

Get locked out of your data and contacted for a ransom to get it back? Test that your backups have been working properly with a test restore to a non-infected computer, then just erase the computers with a fresh install and restore your important data from backup.

@DrRac27 Someone pointed that out earlier on Matrix ;-). As we pull in updates via appstream metadata from time to time, this has to be fixed upstream - hence I tried to fix issues via a PR. Once that get's in (or upstream has a different fix), we are going to update the listing accordingly via check_via_appstream.py fix ... 🦆️
