Albert Bourla, CEO of Pfizer and the team "made this very difficult decision" to produce a product with mRNA technology. But when the time came, he delayed because he didn't want to "cut the line".

He first ridiculed anyone that might hesitate taking it in September 2020. Then when the time came in December that same year, he didn't want to "cut the line". Finally the truth drops in March '22 that "the mRNA was a technology that we had less experience [with]".

8 Sept 2020 - "Their decision [will effect] the lives of others [and] if they don't vaccinate they will become the weak link that will allow this virus to replicate"
14 Dec 2020: Doesn't want to "cut the line".
15 Dec 2020: Doesn't want to "cut the cue".
March 2022:"The mRNA was the technology that we had less experience [with and] mRNA was a technology that never delivered a single product".

Was Pfizer's experience with mRNA the reason he was "hesitant" given its experimental nature?

Guides to help people understand what's involved and how to switch to Linux

#Linux
This week's donation went to EndeavourOS. I'ts an Arch based Linux distro. EndeavourOS is available for x86_64 as well as a few ARM64 devices. EndeavourOS uses the Calamares installer. It uses SystemD for the init system. If you choose the online installer then you get a choice of eight desktop environments or five window managers. You also get a choice between Grub, SystemD-Boot, or no bootloader for the x86_64 version. You can also choose between BTRFS and EXT4 for filesystems. All in all you get a lot of user choice during install outside of the sole init system option.

The main website for EndeavourOS is here:

https://endeavouros.com/

The page for the ARM device downlaods is here:

The source code is available on Github:

The project has a forum as well as a presence on the Fediverse and Matrix:

Launching Ko-Fi (also, minor patreon updates)
Pretty straightforward, it's practically in the title. I've just launched my new Ko-Fi page for anyone willing to spare some loose change for a tip or two. Since this' a new thing for me there may be some growing pains and kinks to iron out as I go. You can visit my Ko-Fi here: https://ko-fi.com/alextrtabor

As for the Patreon updates, not much is changing. It's mainly an update to the $5 tier (you'll now get to suggest stuff for the upcoming Fanart Fridays pieces). You can still visit my Patreon here: https://www.patreon.com/AlexTrTabor

@publiclewdness Flathub and the likes are currently hosted on GNOME's infrastructure, which I guess is the reason given Flathub's connection to Flatpak as a format. There is work being done to set up Flathub as an independent legal entity, however.

So the good news is it seems that at least some shareholders of companies like Square Enix have started to raise concerns regarding the companies including woke crap and parterning with the likes of Sweet baby but time will tell if it will make a difference. If they get fed up and dump stock maybe something actually happens.
