At @phosh, we are working on making the quick-settings panel more responsive and snappy.
This new layout lets you access the preferences (i.e. status pages) quickly and in a responsive manner.
Feel free to join the merge request discussion (https://gitlab.gnome.org/World/Phosh/phosh/-/merge_requests/1498) and test this new feature, so we can land it soon!
you can also see @arunmani 's work on improved quick setting in the picture above and here's a quick demo (already landed on main):
The OSK panel in mobile settings is becoming more complete. After adding layout selection last cycle, selecting the default text completer is on its way now too. The data is provided by the OSK so new completers are picked up automatically.
Half Life 2 Deathmatch works great on #postmarketOS #Phosh with FEX-Emu and Distrobox! Runs smoothly on my Xiaomi Pad 5 Pro with the pogo pin keyboard and a Bluetooth mouse!
Our developer @awai has uploaded the latest #Mastodon client version 0.8.3 of Tuba into Debian, and it should be available in Trixie soonish. Thanks a-wai and thanks to @Tuba for developing a great #Fediverse client for #Linux_on_mobile.
P.S. Typed in Tuba on a Pixel3a running Mobian.

Read this great update about the #pureos development in September 2024:
https://puri.sm/posts/pureos-crimson-development-report-september-2024/
Many #Crimson packages start building again. Well done. I'm always reading these monthly updates with much interest.
You can totally optional support the development of PureOS by getting a subscription: https://shop.puri.sm/?s=pureos+subscription
#PureOS is totally free software for everyone, regardless of subscriptions, but subscriptions help the advancement.
No more need to accept egregious and one-sided user agreements!

As always, we greatly appreciate the support of PureOS subscribers. Advancing PureOS benefits all Librem devices as well as the larger FLOSS ecosystem. Your support is crucial to that mission.

My experience testing out an experimental app on the street with a #linuxonmobile phone.
- see what I think is a bug
- check the git log
- rollback to a previous commit
- rebuild the deb package of said experimental app and install it.
Just using the touch display of the phone.
Also the error was not from that commit :x
But to be able to do this is really cool :)
🚚 We have successfully migrated to gitlab.postmarketos.org!
Why and how we did it:
Time for some new devices!
OnePlus 8, Pixel 6, and Pixel Tablet now can run Droidian at a near feature complete state!
Including Pixel 6 and Lenovo Thinkphone, Droidian is now only a single generation behind the latest chips.
All of these devices will soon be added to our installer, but nightly images are currently available.

New! The NGI Zero podcast where we talk to the people who are building the Next Generation Internet. :)
In S01E01 our guest is Joep Meindertsma of Atomic Data. The issue he sees with today’s internet is the siloing of data. It leads to users being locked into Big Tech ecosystems and it's hard to reuse data. Joep explains how Atomic Data, a modular specification for sharing, modifying and modelling data, addresses this problem.

I have been gaming since 1992 and building PCs since 2003. I enjoy Linux, supporting FOSS projects and am a tinfoil hat connoisseur.
Many FOSS projects rely on donations. If you have money to spare but don't know which to donate to take a look at the above links on Ko-fi, Github, and Open Collective. Anything on there that I have sponsered or contributed to is something I have found to be worthy.
