Reluctantly silenced mstdn.social. The vast majority their activity is botspam dumping into the TWKN
@realcaseyrollins I need to write it up somewhere when I have some time to sit down.
The core idea of this instance is going to be interactivity with people, and moderation focus is keeping bots and spam out of public timelines.
Unfortunately, it's unrealistic for me to go account by account, the quantity is just too high, so instances that house high volume spam are also being muted (but not defederated)
@realcaseyrollins Fortunately, instances like mstdn.social, that allow bots to post publicly rather than unlisted are pretty rare, and even the ones that do tend to be small enough I can manage. I won't be muting Smug for example

Keep in mind, you can still follow any account from these you want from here, and if the admins care enough to reach out to me, I'm willing to talk about it. I won't be defederating from anyone unless they violate US Law, it's more akin to a quarantine.
@mewmew I absolutely am interested, I don't like the silence feature cause it also mutes replies from these instances., but there's no other way I can tell to mitigate spam. @realcaseyrollins
@realcaseyrollins If they ever modify their rules to make bots post unlisted I'll unsilence them for sure. @mewmew
