I released a new podcast episode two days ago and nobody noticed lol

@realcaseyrollins I threw the RSS link from your bio in my podcast app. It brings up the feed but the episodes won't download. There might be something messed up with bitbucket rather than people not noticing.

@admin Interesting...I'll probably have to put the episodes elsewhere, then. The files load in my software, but it could be a compatibility thing.

What software do you use for podcasts? I'd like to use it for future testing.

@realcaseyrollins I use an app for android called Podkicker. I've had the issue before but it's usually that the ep was taken down and it gets reuploaded later. I've never seen the files hosted on an archive before, or shortened with tinyurl, like you're doing. It's an interesting idea but I could see it confusing an app if it only expects something like yadayada.com/blahblah.mp3

@admin Yes; well, the archive file is an archived version of the mp3 file from where it's actually hosted (audio.qoto.org), but the way the hosting works, if you go to it, it tries to download it instead of playing it, by default. I use #PodcastAddict on #Android and occasionally Grover Podcast on #Windows, and it works on there. But it would probably be better to find a host that would stream the file by default instead of trying to download it.

Does the first episode stream for you? The hosting for that file was different than the rest.

@realcaseyrollins The latest eps do have that behavior. The older ones that direct link to archive don't though, I get a regular in-browser player w/ firefox. I don't think that's the issue though since my app can't get any of them. It's probably just not handling the double link structure of the archive urls. I think some archives have a built-in link shortener, you might try that.
Also 'retry trump' goes to the qoto subdomain but says "signature has expired" jsyk.

@admin Thanks for the heads-up. I think I just fixed it.

@realcaseyrollins It does, pops up a download prompt like the others. That is a big honkin' link though lel, I could understand wanting to shorten it.
