Had they accurately reported what was happening, and had the Chinese not shut down their own medical whistle blowers, and had Beijing let other medical investigators come in, I can be farely certain that from Oz to USA to Europe many G20 countries would have blocked flights from China.
This would have massively slowed spread and give people more time to prepare.
Instead, the world didn't know the truth until hundreds of thousands Chinese students and professionals came back to the west from China after the Christmas break in early January.

@Prodigal @Creepella look up AMEB syllabus material. I've always used it since a young child. Although I'm classically trained. There's a lot of software and interactive DVDS available for resource material. I'm still one to purchase publications of printed material either from music shop outlets or online. I think that board subjects like music need a board syllabus for a teaching platform. I'm not a fan at all of Suzuki style, although that's how I learnt guitar initially. I prefer formal written before instructed lessons and text resource stimuli.

Covers are all well and good, I can't talk. Yet I undertook over two decades of acquiring the skills necessary to even begin doing covers.
That means not needing the sheet music and Suzuki style. It means I can compose it back to notation if need be or variate the clef e.g. viola is only alto clef (an octave above cello which is bass clef) if I compose back most say modern music I'm doing it from treble clef for melody predominantly.
That's all well and good, yet it's too simple. I go from treble to bass to alto and cover all bases to variate instruments.
Transposing is an entirely classical trained skill.
It shouldn't be ignored, only encouraged.
If your kids are doing violin push one to viola. It's a selective and solo relied upon instrument and extremely exclusive for those (bursary gibs and gateway integration) easy to be mentored by professionals. To find a good viola teacher isn't easy. To find an exceptional one is worth the hunt.
Interestingly most people forget that the double bass is also a warm addition when a bow is added.
The bow hold and chin rest position is vital. When I learnt viola I didn't have a shoulder rest, only a chin rest. My teacher was a German gentleman and always smelt of salty caramel.
I went from Violin to Cello to Viola to Double Bass in school years. I loved viola yet double bass was more a challenge.

It's like the difference between a self-taught, no formal training nor work experience hacker, and software developer. Knowledge of conventions and frameworks are super important.
