covid19 cases are spiking again how could this happen
this entire pandemic shit has made me rethink a lot of my opinions about personal freedoms
@realcaseyrollins before i was very much in favour of personal freedoms and minimal government intervention in social affairs, seeing how people have responded to just being asked to wear a mask, stay 2 metres apart at the stores and not going out to the pub for a couple months has made me think that people are selfish and will endanger other peoples lives for stupid shit
@realcaseyrollins at the same time i know you cannot give the government the kind of power to restrict what people do to that extent because they will abuse it

@NeikoCat There are some restrictions I feel are good but they're not necessarily legal, so those laws need to change first

And the religious restrictions are unconstitutional, IMHO

@NeikoCat Hmm...the actually isn't that big a threat tho...to say that not wearing a mask endangers people in a sense that it puts people in a high risk of death is a bit dramatic at best

@realcaseyrollins the only reason that covid hasn't done more damage is because of the initial lockdown, wait until the second wave comes and hospitals have bodies pilling up. It's not just covid itself it's more the strain it puts on the healthcare system, dealing with 2000 extra patients means that someone who would've got immediate attention for something non covid related wouldn't get that treatment right away and they'll die
