Yes, "blocking instance list" is basic transparency.
But some of instances don't not open it, that's how they abuse the ability to blocking other instance.

@bagofshit @Snow @Lux @realcaseyrollins I’ve been thinking it might be a good idea to make a more serious block list for illegal content like accounts and instances allowing cp and such, ignoring the other concepts here. A fedi encyclopedia dramatica might be fun but if used as a block list it would be kinda gay I think.

But I mean like needs proof and has to be illegal content. Some times I’m just not around when a cp poster i need to block post or gets pointed out in a regular thread.

You didn't responded to my pervious post, I disagreed with a7 blocking accounts because he should've been defederating them because viewing cp content actually would get you in legal trouble, so defederating would keep the cp out of the instance and also blocks you for federating it.
I think it should be a wikipedia likely site to record these bad actor behaviors base on "blocked instance list."
