@quad
GOG
+ DRM-Free
+ gogdownloader API so any client works
* seems to be nice towards creators
- Galaxy being windows-crap

Steam
++ Great linux support and contributions
- only one client accepted and it requires updates to be done when available
- seems to curate games quite too heavily as a platform
- huge monopoly
* Often DRM-ized and you don't own the games

Itch.io (aka bandcamp of games)
++ Great pages for creators
+ An optional cross-platform client which seems great
+ DRM-Free

@lanodan @quad I wish more developers and publishers would just self-host their games on their own websites instead of being locked-in by these services.

@xianc78 @quad Epic Games can get the fuck out though.
And for itch.io I think it's fine, some will use github and just meh.

And yeah, you can have your own website like factorio and minecraft does, it works, but it doesn't means it's always better.

@lanodan @quad I wish developers at least make it an option. It would be nice to be able to support game developers directly. It shouldn't be that hard to implement a PayPal API or a crypto library.

I do agree that Epic Games can just fuck off. There game store is just China trying to get a foot hold on the global video game market.
