@a7 @sjw@neckbeard.xyz Well Hyperbola is based on Gentoo which is compatible with the BSD kernel. I don't know if the same can be said with other distros (besides Debian).

@a7 @xianc78 @sjw hyperbola developments are interesting, but I'm skeptical any BSD can match the performance of Linux. I'm a fan of shit like Haiku and ReactOS so I'm not saying I WANT Linux to be the only practical option but we'll see. I remember hearing a couple years ago Linus has to have a chaperone any time he goes to a convention because he's terrified of getting falsely accused of harassment. Between that and the code of conduct shit, I'm not surprised to read a week or so ago that Linus is having a hard time finding maintainers now. But at least it's PC as fuck now. I think you'd be better off forking Linux 2.6 than BSD frankly.

@olmitch @sjw @xianc78 i dunno it wraps linux graphics and wifi drivers and ive rarely ran into hardware issues, i feel like everytime some one says that they are referencing freebsd experience from like 7 years ago.
