this is why Fuscia was a little concerning, since Google was making some pokes at a new kernel that wouldn't require anyone to return their shit to the commons with.

@icedquinn @p @sjw@neckbeard.xyz @bagofshit @pernia Not entirely true. Apple and even Sony have contributed back to the FreeBSD project, even though they weren't obligated to do so. This is because if they didn't contribute back, their codebases would have become obsolete by the time FreeBSD updates their codebase.
@xianc78 @p @sjw @bagofshit @pernia Apple contributed back when they were using incompatible CPUs. As soon as they went to x86, suddenly most of the Darwin code was withdrawn.
