@coolboymew I keep on seeing how much faster and easier if I use engines like this, but I always stick to programming.

@xianc78 these engines are probably preferable if you're not a career programmer

Then again, a lot goes into making an engine that most people probably wants to avoid, it's probably not worth it in a lot of cases, when you can use something like Unity and then port your game to everything for practically free

@coolboymew I use MonoGame which isn't really an engine, but more of a multimedia software framework for C#. If I did 3D stuff, I would probably use an engine or mod an existing game, but since I'm only working with 2D, it isn't that much of a problem.
