Tablets makes boomers even more useless with computers. The amount of intellectual laziness with one of the most important invention of modern age is absolutely staggering. It is crazy how you can use this shit for years and have absolutely no idea how this shit functions in the slightest and not be able to perform the most basic of task on a computer

@coolboymew Tablets are useless pieces of shit. Just oversized PDAs used to distract toddlers and have clients use to sign in at offices. Handheld gaming PCs or subnotebooks are probably a better option if you want something more portable than a laptop.
@okabe_rintarou @coolboymew Just get an e-ink reader (they're less straining on the eyes). Color ones exist now. (https://goodereader.com/blog/product-category/color-ink) As for movies, laptops are perfect for that. Especially if it still has a DVD drive.
@xianc78 This is the first time I hear about color E-ink readers. I don't know how good they are, but they're definitely expensive judging by the site you linked.
And laptops aren't very comfortable for movie watching on the go and cost more than a tablet.
It's not like I often use a tablet either, I just think there are some good use cases for them.

@xianc78 @coolboymew Forgot to mention that watching movies on a tablet is pretty easy via Netflix offline download.
You're too harsh on tablets. They're nice for reading manga and comics and also watching something on the go.
