@ArdanianRight @coolboymew Eh, the religion itself was portrayed positively enough, I always interpreted it as a problem of the particular religious leader being a very messed up individual on a personal level. I don't think religion made him worse, I think it was just a coping mechanism.

If you are willing to believe Chineese alot machines have story lines Genshin Impact also breaks this trope. In GS the gods people worship were once mortal and are replaceable but the plot is interesting on its own imo but its still a live service game thats only in its third month so theres lots coming plot wise we haven't seen yet. So far we have met two of seven gods in a pantheon of the world we're in (parallel universes and main character having been to several but stuck in this one is established in the intro) and this have been allies in the plot and even summonable in the game via the gacha

@dielan @ArdanianRight @ChristiJunior the problem is that everything was easy as shit and the missions were not terribly exciting and you kept running into a problem where the missions levels were just kinda too apart and the game just fucking threw 1021-95935843608 billion items to do I don't know what with, I didn't fucking need this shit and urrrrgh
