I'm still having some problems with matrix, couldn't find some users through it despite certain they existed. Apparently you need to use an identity server to "federate"? Shit's weird but it's probably the most viable chat alternative to discord (inb4 irc)

@thestrongest IRC would be preferred if messages were at least temporarily logged instead of only being able to see the messages sent during your session. It seems like most rooms require you to have your computer idle 24/7 just to see new messages as almost nobody uses it anymore.
