@coolboymew 1st generation iMac was the last good looking Apple computer.
@xianc78 OS7-9 was a joy (other than the crashes, I remember it being VERY crashy) and these colored iMacs are just beautiful
@coolboymew I was only an infant when it came out, but I heard that it was one of the few times Apple tried to push gaming on their computers. They even advertised Connectix Virtual Game Station (a PS1 emulator) on it.
@xianc78 I was a young kid, but now that you mention, I believe that era had the most interactive CDs and double compatible games on Mac out of any others, as far as I'm aware

@coolboymew Yeah. I've read Masters of Doom and there was one part were there was outrage because John Carmack was releasing the demo of Quake III on Mac because of certain advantages it had over Windows at the time (it didn't specify which). And from what I've heard from Mac gaming communities, the Mac OS 9 era was the golden age of Mac gaming.
I don't know why Apple embraced gaming for that brief period and why they stopped.
Considering what Apple does, is that they've always released extremely limited models that are barely, or not upgradable at all. It became bad for gamers and the Apple premium on every component didn't help either
