@xianc78 @ArdanianRight @PraxisOfEvil That doesn't solve the problem of most internet users being subjected to the kind of constant propaganda and misinformation from Big Tech monopolies that would make most totalitarian regimes blush, with all authentically dissenting voices banned. What happened during 2020 was also blatant election meddling, and if you don't believe that massive voting fraud took place, Big Tech's suppression of the Hunter Biden story alone probably cost Trump his re-election.

The reality is most of the worst kinds of human suffering have been eliminated or greatly diminished for a while now in the first world, and so politics has instead shifted to zero-sum-game power struggles, whether it's megalomaniacal elites seeking absolute power or historically oppressed groups getting to feel important through symbolic gestures or what have you. The main solutions to most solvable political problems are readily available but neglected. Standard capitalism + social safety nets + a moderate amount of regulation mostly works throughout the first world, but it's not sexy. It doesn't satisfy either elite megalomania seeking to uproot and remake society, nor does it satisfy the plebs clamoring for attention and flattery.
