@icedquinn @mystik @Jdogg247 The vaccine is extremely reliable at preventing severe illness but you could potentially get slightly sick and pass it on to someone who isn't vaccinated. Caution might make sense for that reason when very few people have been vaccinated, but all the evidence suggests that when most of the population has been vaccinated and you've got yours you should be cleared to fully go back to normal. Fauci has very consistently bullshitted the public because he thinks he knows best but when public health officials lie to the public and breach their trust it does so much damage. Don't get cute, just give it to people straight, the good and the bad.

@ArdanianRight @Jdogg247 @mystik But yeah being an immune carrier is a thing that can happen. But being an immune carrier means the vaccine is selfish which is antithetical to the idea of forcing people to take it for the greater good.

@icedquinn @Jdogg247 @mystik You can, but in general face tanking the virus is way more likely to suffer severe illness or other complications. Face tanking can make sense when you have no other options, like back when measles parties were a thing, but if you can avoid the disease altogether via vaccination that's the better option.

@xianc78 @icedquinn @Jdogg247 @mystik Note that you used mortality instead of total infections. Even if medical advancements make the disease less lethal the vaccine just shuts shit down so nobody has to get the disease or risk any complications period.
