The pinkpill/egg hatching side of the trans community is gonna inherently end up normalizing pedophilia. No matter how much they try to draw a shaky line in the sand to stop it.

There’s this set of in-baked assumptions:

This new generation of kids knows more about sex and gender than previous generations of adults, especially their parents.
Children and young teens are able to consent to complex procedures and activities involving sex and gender, and should be able to override the will of their parents.
Children and young teens know what they want to do with their bodies better than adults, and should be encouraged to override constraints set by their parents.

These are dangerous barriers to break down and it should really stop. Most parents would be horrified at what goes on in the average Discord room.

Up till this line I think you were on track, but I worry that this implies a frightening possessive relationship, which @mrsaturday touches on, that it is sometimes the case that the adult imposes themselves.
@moth @mrsaturday I'm more referring to the Reddit/Tumblr/Discord side. That's what's so insidious about the "egg hatching" framing, is that it is framed as the older mentor is just helping the younger participant to discover themselves. That while they may have taken a small amount of adult influence to break that thin outer shell, they just gave them a small shove to discover their own true inner desires and the rest of it is the teen's own decisions and agency.
@TheQuQu @mrsaturday

"I meant unidirectionally, and specifically within this framework."

Of course you did.
@moth @mrsaturday No need for hostility. I find the Discord side creepier because it doesn't get headlines. The clear "munchausen by proxy" bit does end up in the Daily Mail meaning normal folks are aware.

You can disagree that bullet point 3 ALWAYS applies, but you can't say it NEVER applies.
@TheQuQu @mrsaturday

I think the presumption of adult benevolence and wisdom was just demonstrated to be a worthless metric, and that raises complications in your framework that you're semantically dodging by literally saying "look over here instead."

I will be as hostile as I want to be, dumbfuck.
@moth @mrsaturday Adult benevolence and wisdom was never in my initial framework, dipshit. Who do you think all the "uwu soft girl" sparkledog and femboi avatar fags are in the Discord chats, murry-purry genderbend-RPing with minors? A good chunk of them are creepy neckbeard middle aged men.

The theme of "rebel against your parents" is prevalent in Discord leaks though. As well as all the examples the grooming victims post of the family strife that their sudden "eggshell break" is causing. Black market estrogen even has "keep out of the reach of parents" on it as a joke, since that theme is so prevalent in these communities.
@TheQuQu @moth @mrsaturday wow it's almost like trans people are often mentally, spiritually, and even physically abused by their parents, and quick reminders to watch out for one's own safety are actually helpful and warranted, but i guess telling trannies to protect themselves is literally le pedophilic grooming now lol

bonus: >black market estrogen
@estrogenius @moth @mrsaturday That's obvious? Mental, physical and spiritual abuse can probably turn someone gay or trans, which'd explain the correlation.

When parents do it, it's an abomination.

When activists learn from this, and learn they can recruit for their cause by mentally, physically or spiritually abusing someone into altering their identity, that's also an abomination.
@TheQuQu @estrogenius @moth That's not even getting into teenagers' natural inclination to believe that parents are being unnecessarily cruel or overbearing when they're often just trying to curb their more harmful impulses. Groomers and activists know and exploit that. It creates tension, which makes parents more hostile, creating a feedback loop that drives the unaware autist right into the arms of pinkpillers.

Notice how no one here wants to admit just how being a teenager actually works. You're just learning the basics of adulthood.

This. It makes me mad when I see slightly more reasonable people argue that teens can think for themselves. I don't think it's okay for teens to get HRT either. Teenagers go through phases. A lot of them "experiment" with LGBT lifestyles (bi-curious is common with teenagers). A lot of them are going to regret it. I can't tell you how many people I know who came out as gay or bisexual back in high school and later found out they're really straight. At least with that you aren't permanently mutilating your body.
