@ChristiJunior@neckbeard.xyz @natsock @JEJ The DS Zeldas get a lot of unjustified hate but I feel like the could've been a lot better. I never played Metroid Prime Hunters, but I heard that the control scheme was a huge problem and that it plays more like Doom or Quake than Metroid. But like SM64DS it was meant to show off the DS's 3D capabilities. An FPS just seemed logical.
Just looking at Nintendo's flagship titles on the DS, you see a pattern:
* Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks are considered the weakest mainline Zelda games
* Metroid Prime Hunters is considered the worst Metroid game (maybe besides Other M but I see more people hating on that one's story)
* Star Fox Command is considered the worst Star Fox game and put the series on hiatus for almost a decade
Besides Mario and Pokemon these are Nintendo's most well known franchises and they seem to hit their low points on the DS. I can't think of any other system with this many low-points on flagship franchises.
@xianc78 @ChristiJunior @JEJ Third parties even did a better job with Nintendo’s own properties. I would play Pokemon Conquest again in a heartbeat.
