It's concerning to Egypt what happens to the Blue Nile, but no, this shouldn't concern you strongly unless you're in the area effected. Overpopulation, like toxicity, is a matter of localized density over infrastructure, and to be absolutely morbid, it's a self-solving issue. Chinese cities are actually a stronger example than Africa, which doesn't have the wealth to fully capitalize on their awful ideas.
