@ChristiJunior@neckbeard.xyz @Protaghunter@baraag.net @RehnSturm256 I actually never played it. I think the first game had some gay guy that lost his husband. Joel is canonically Jewish but I don't think there was a spotlight on that compared to Ellie's sexuality. Left Behind (the side story game) was when they reveal that Ellie was a lesbian, but I think the first games might have dropped hints. I remember at that time everyone was racing to make a game with a gay/lesbian character that will make the same impact as Samus revealing to be a woman. It seemed like Naughty Dog was in on it too and they won in that regard.

But TLoU is a prime example of a story-driven, walking simulator third-person shooter where the gameplay is a complete afterthought which is why I included it.

@xianc78 @ChristiJunior @Protaghunter Joel isn't Jewish, but Ellie's girlfriend in the second game is. If you find something to the contrary I'd be curious to see.

Looking up articles to find out what you said on this made me ill, however. I saw some shit heap "news" outlet say TLoU2 "depicts religion honestly". You know, TLoU2, which has a pseudo-Christian religion as an antagonistic organization in the latter half of the fuckin game, and has a synagogue left untouched by the bombs that leveled a city just to browbeat Cuckmann's ethno religion in players' faces.
@xianc78 @ChristiJunior @Protaghunter @RehnSturm256 After how bad Uncharted 3 was you really had to see the writing on the wall and ditch that company. 4 was Grrl Power and 5 was grrl protagonists.
