@xianc78 I was actually thinking about how the proposition means letting a euro make laws on psychology when all of their internet laws have been hot garbage for freedom and did jack shit to big tech.

Youd see game companies getting sued because some mom would claim they did design work to make you want to play more (which is the same thing big tech does but without the honesty)

@icedquinn @lanodan Governments will never regulate big tech because it's too useful for them. This is especially apparent with the COVID-19 shitshow.

In fact, many of these firms may have been created by the government itself. Look up LifeLog, a surveillance project to log a persons daily activities, connections etc and it ended the same day Facebook launched.
