What those like Hans Herman Hoppe mean by "physical removal" has nothing to do with dropping commies off of helicopters. It just means to cut ties with those who have those beliefs (deny them service, employment, mutual-aid, etc.).
Chile had a socialist president abusing of constitutional powers, making land/business expropriation, not condemning paramilitary left groups, etc. Several civilian and police died because those violent groups during that period.
Coup was a must, and 99% of crimes made by military happened first months trying to get rid revolutionary armed groups.
You never expect a peaceful transition between a "failed democracy" to first months of military takeover. Pinochet said ~1k causalities may happen, and 1068 ppl died (Report made in Democracy)
