@allison @fence I wish I used that instead of Python+Pygame, but that doesn't really matter anymore because I use C# + MonoGame now and I have no plans on going back to interpreted languages.

@xianc78 @fence Yeah MonoGame or FNA is good if you feel like working within that ecosystem, but personally, you couldn't pay me to do anything with .NET

@allison @fence My only problem is that MonoGame switched to .NET Core which wouldn't be a problem except that I can't use it with MonoDevelop anymore and I have to use VSCode (a stripped down version of Visual Studio) on Linux. And I had to manually reconfigure the project files just to make it work on the new IDE.

Other than that, I have no problem with it. I know C# is pretty frowned upon especially in the Linux community, but I think it's pretty decent for indie/hobbyist game development.
