@lanodan In that case it's excusable, but usually it's because they are ordering for someone else and they usually can't remember the name of the item so you have to figure it out yourself.
@xianc78 Then I think they should read it out… handwritings are hard to read
@lanodan Well, if it is written by someone else, then chances are that they can't read it.
@xianc78 Which leaves the deciphering to the staff :(
That said if they can point that's the best.
