First dislikes get removed, now comments are next. YouTube became popular because it wasn't like TV, now by this decades end it will basically just be TV.

@Shadowman311 Luckily, Odysee/LBRY seems to be taking off even among normies.

@xianc78 @Shadowman311 I think the final situation will be a handful of those services setting up federation, and aggregating content between each other. Core requirement is the services involved having the spine not to let some long nose tribe members convince them to iteratively defederate the rightmost service, but that's necessary anyways.
@xianc78 @Shadowman311 the success of odysee/LBRY was taking an entirely apolitical stance and directly inviting a lot of prominent content creators to come over. They sell the vision of what YouTube was.

So naturally, with these changes and the incentives to join projects fueled by ETH - normies are down for it. :)

@pyrate @Shadowman311 Odysee/LBRY truly did learn from the mistakes of other alt-tech sites/platforms/networks and learned to adapt. They realized that marketing on freeze-peach alone is just going to result in a right-wing echo chamber. And it being built on a decentralized blockchain means that even they have no control of it, at least the LBRY network itself.
