Listen it's cool that the Supreme Court blocked the mandate for the private sector but if you think this is over lmaooooo

Your corporate overlords are just gonna do it anyway and the libertarian retard are gonna praise this because after all Amazon and Walmart aren't the government and you can just get your coffee from Peet's instead of Starbucks as if Starbucks doesn't own Peet's
The TL;DR version for retards who think they can just "shop elsewhere" and that letting businesses run wild is actually a "good thing"

-Most major corporations have parent corporations that own more than just one franchise. Starbucks and Peet's are the same company, L'Oreal and Estee Lauder own 70% of all health and beauty brands, Pepsi and Coke basically own all fast food franchises, you get the idea
-In many areas Walmart and Amazon is all there is. We shit on city people but that's the one true benefit of being in a shithole like NYC or LA is that options actually exist, even if many of those options are the same thing in disguise.
-In terms of raw power people like Jeff Bezos has more sway than the government making "at least it's not the government" one of the most retarded things that you can say.
-The black market only works if everyone is "playing fair". It's about as useful as communism is, and by that I mean it fucking isn't stop being a dumbass

@comfy And how many of those corporations got their power from the government?

@xianc78 A lot of them do. It's kind of a "you scratch my back, I'll scratch your's" kinda deal. Whoever has the most money has the most power, and Jeff Bezos actually is the richest man in the world right now.

@comfy Which proves my point. It's THE GOVERNMENT that gives them power. Ancaps win yet again. :ancap:

@xianc78 Considering the US is trillions in debt I don't think they really have that power to begin with

@comfy It isn't just the federal government. State governments also subsidize corporations. Such as the case with Amazon.

@xianc78 Yeah, the whole system is pretty openly corrupt. The people holding the power are people like Bezos, Elon Musk, the lads behind Google, Microsoft, etc.

Our politicians don't even like to try to hide the fact that they're bought out. They might as well have advertisements on their desks and run under The Amazon Party or some shit.
