My friend and I were talking about population control the other day, how overpopulation is becoming a huge problem. I forgot he was mostly a liberal because we were having a good conversation, and he recoiled at my saying "part of what we gotta do is cut off aid from foreign countries so they can't sustain as many children."
He thought that was morally wrong, but I think if you're talking about depopulation at all, it's usually from a naturalist/environmentalist perspective. So in that sense, what's the problem of letting nature reclaim these third world nations? After all, if they can't fight, that's their problem. Liberals don't understand nature. They like the plants and animals, but they don't think about the wider implications. They don't understand the spirit.
