oh thank fuck i DIDN'T do my cv in latex

so so so fucking glad i'm not that assburger-retarded
@hj I have mine in HTML because text document formats and software are almost all horrible and it can render to PDF fine enough via a browser.

@lanodan @hj Be thankful that you don't have concerning parents that had to proof-read your resume and made edits in a word processor or something.

My Dad thought I was trying to make it hard on myself and edited it in Microsoft Word and saved the changes as a DOCX. My Mom wanted him to proof-read it because she thought I was going to do something stupid like write the thing in Comic Sans.

@lanodan @hj My Dad is not that tech-savvy. Though he does know a lot because he's a math teacher. (they are usually required to learn some basic computer and programming schools in college) I found some old HTML, BASIC, and Pascal books in his classroom before but I doubt he remembers them thoroughly.

@xianc78 @hj Mine was a Sun/Oracle system/network administrator, he's basically why I always had Unix boxes and got in self-hosting.

Programming is mostly because of myself wanting to modify the shit I use. :D
Interestingly I didn't even pick perl from him while that's quite his language of choice.
@xianc78 @lanodan @hj my dad got Atari 800xl in university, to do engineering work but he didnt got into computers, always said that they were too tiring for his eyes. Nevertheless he is envy now, of his colleges who got cobol related jobs and now get cheques from banks for doing absolutely nothing
