Many linux and free software nerds in general think they can remain politically uninvolved, but this is ridiculous. Free software as a concept is inherently anti-capitalist and opposes bullshit IP and copyright laws. The act of using free software is inherently a protest against the evil capitalist system that allows evil like Microsoft windows or Apple Macintosh OS to exist.
