@roboneko @Elfie @RedTechEngineer @Terry @graf @jasonl8446 @mactonite @redneonglow @siinclaiir @zemichi brb I'm gonna break the fuck out of rule 6.
I've no idea how to properly index a postgres database tho so searching is going to be rather expensive.
@sjw @Elfie @RedTechEngineer @Terry @graf @jasonl8446 @mactonite @redneonglow @siinclaiir @zemichi assuming p2p fedi takes off I will personally contribute to ensuring that as much of public fedi as possible gets stuffed into it
@xianc78 @Elfie @jasonl8446 @mactonite @redneonglow @RedTechEngineer @siinclaiir @sjw @Terry @zemichi @graf more the ipfs backed storage format than any particular piece of fedi software. ipfs, bittorrent, something else, I don't particularly care as long as I can put it behind a VPN

but yeah revolver is the only solution currently on the horizon that I'm aware of

@roboneko @Elfie @jasonl8446 @mactonite @redneonglow @RedTechEngineer @siinclaiir @sjw @Terry @zemichi @graf I thought we can use the Dat protocol. It's a P2P file sharing protocol with a built-in version control system.

@xianc78 so that's the name! I wanted to put it on my list there but couldn't remember what it was called

gnunet also has file sharing capabilities but I'm not clear on the details, particularly on whether it can be operated from behind a VPN via a single arbitrary high numbered port

@roboneko I had a lot of faith in ZeroNet, but that project seems to be dead now. I think the creator got demotivated after the failed 8chan bunker incident. I never tried anything else though.
