Apparently, Akkoma is a Pleroma fork due to a conflict between free speech and free software people.

Which really puts me in the the position of "where do I belong then"?
Generally, free speech people are typically lib-right, while free software people are typically lib-left.
However, I like both free speech and free software, and I believe the 2 are supposed to be compatible with one other.

Guess I'll just make yet another fork then...

@ryo Yeah there was a lot of Pleroma related drama going on starting early this year. I don't know the exact details. But Alex Gleason isn't well liked in the Pleroma dev team and the project was almost forked early this year (but the fork failed to come into fruition). There was more drama recently though. I think the creator of Poast along with Gleasson have also made a fork which is meant to be the official backend for SoapBox.

Apparently, they have a no trannies policy when it comes to contributors just to prevent any idpol drama.

@xianc78 The funny thing about SoapBox is that the name keeps reminding me to Soaplands.
Soapland is basically a grey-area bath service that exist all over Japan as an alternative to prostitution which the J-Government banned back in the 1960's.
They're pretty expensive though.
