Fuck "smart TVs". I am the smart one, not the TV. And the government/megacorp/megabank complex already has ways of spying on me without me making it easier for them.

@noyoushutthefuckupdad It sucks they don't make high quality dumb tv's anymore. The smart features are dumb because they only slow down the TV and the streaming apps and interface are depreciated after a year or two.

@ooignignoktoo having access to Netflix is not a feature, it's a bug.

@noyoushutthefuckupdad I got a smart Sony tv but I keep it connected offline and if I need to stream I just use an HTPC I connected to it and run kodi for streaming that way. I flat out refuse to buy netflix because everything they release is not worth paying for.

@ooignignoktoo I was babysitting for a family member and their kid was watching Disney Plus. there was a show for 3-year-olds and it was about a gay dog wedding, so I turned it off and got the kid to focus on something else.

TV and most streaming services are the enemy.
