@hj I had an abacus as a kid, lost it at some point, I should make my own at some point.

@lanodan @hj Same here. They were really popular as toys for whatever reason. I didn't even realize that they were actually used for math.

@xianc78 @lanodan i actually know how to use one for math, given it's a simpler "russian abacus" or whatever it's called. To a certain extent.

@lanodan @xianc78 not really, I'm not entirely sure because there are different systems. In russian abacus it's actually unary, or so i'm told (as a child).
