@xianc78 From the point of view of "let's make XMPP more known to the zoomers", it's a good thing, but from the point of view of "please don't fuck up the only good chat protocol we still have left" and "do one thing well", it's a bad thing.
@ryo @xianc78 It seems like making anything more popular always backfires. XMPP is already overflowing with soy, though. Look at those clients, half of them are written in Python. Gajim took like, 30 seconds to open, until I updated it and it broke and then I switched to Profanity, and never went back because at least it's fast, and also, I hate change, unless it's to something amazing, but these things never are, you just trade old problems for new problems.
