More weird part is how long that issue has been there, squirrel is a pretty old thing by now and distros have been slapping their own pkg-config files in slightly different ways (and a lot of them a bit wrong).

btw the reason why is because I wanted to try https://github.com/KelvinShadewing/supertux-advance after seeing a video of it.

And it's a pretty cool game, I like how you can slide to get pretty high speeds.
