Does this seem a bit far fetched to anyone else?
Like, a balloon? Its just a balloon, like that's supposed to be high tech? Like it had some crappy gadget that looks like any hobbyist could clog together hanging from it and it just floated on over the USA.
Like its not some stealth thing its a big white balloon. The US military obviously knew about this thing the whole time and if they didn't shoot it down right away its likely they knew all about what this thing was up to.
If it was up to anything at all, because its a big white balloon and not exactly cutting edge in the latest spy technology. For all it seems to me, this could be some random dudes hobby project to measure something totally banal like air currents and its from some nerdy weather enthusiasts group.
Why is this thought to be some ingenious move and then the idea that Biden (a moron, yes) is like deliberately letting it complete some SECRET CHINESE MISSION just feels so far into the realm of fantasy I have to wonder what people are thinking here.

@shebang My gut tells me that this whole thing is a plan to manufacture consent for further saber rattling with China, but if it is it's real low effort, even for Sleepy Joe. 
@xianc78 @shebang Well yeah, but for COVID they had to really build and push the narrative, this by comparison feels just lazy.
