Don't play online games if they don't have private servers players actually control with no spying.
I was just thinking about Counter-Strike the other night, pre CS:GO .. back when you played in the university dorms. Everyone was on the same network. There were a few people with servers running on some random Linux box ... do people in Universities even play locally on their LAN anymore? Do universities still allow broadcast traffic between dorms? Or do people only play on the servers; completely disconnected from "local" games.
I wish I knew. I know back in the day Halo LAN parties happened the same way.
