@coolboymew honestly i don't like it much and i think it will fail but it has a few things about it that are better than fedi (they are worse by some other people's reckoning however). a bunch of the clients have integrated bitcoin tipping and that has affected posting behavior about how you would expect (i am also so guilty of this lol)

@coolboymew jack is on nostr and he thinks it's a great idea, @parker already called him on it (no reply of course) post monetization is an area of social networking where i may have more experience than le bird man
who the fuck gives a shit about nostr anyway? Plus the fedi took years to build traction, it's not like anyone is gonna move to some new platform when the fedi doesn't have the issue of "platform owner fucks over users".

Raiders from Poast and DRC just want to bully everyone there because it's a right-libertarian echo chamber and there are actual women on there.
Alex Gleason thinks it's potentially better than the fedi because so many people follow him but the servers end up blocking his instance. I kind of agree because this instance blocking culture does get out of hand. Even instances like Poast block other instances like rDrama for dumb reasons.
