@ItsSkyDragonz I believe the Earth is round, but most people who attempt to debunk flat earth, always use the "appeal to authority" fallacy or are just dismissive of conspiracies in general.

@xianc78 Flat earth isnt a conspiracy theory to me, its just one of those theories so absurd and easy to disprove it doesnt really need to be repeatedly disproved. Considering it a valid theory in any sense makes every other theory like "hey are politicians raping kids?" Get dumbed down to its level.

Kinda like this: a dude comes up to you and tells you we all live in a big dome, truman show style. Now the reasonable thing is to call him a tweaker and walk away. Or maybe you listen to him to see why he acts like this, then you tell him hes not

@ItsSkyDragonz @xianc78 My instinct is to figure out why he thinks that. I've come to assume dismissive styles of engagement to be intentionally manipulative, probably done to protect against harmful ideas that may be reasonable if one doesn't really have any amount of experience in that area. What's normal tends to be normal for a good reason.
