Remembering those “studies show babies who listen to classical music grow up to be smarter than those who don’t” stories from a few years ago. It was presented as if Mozart’s works had a supernatural power (not opposed to this possibility for what it’s worth) but now that I know a little bit more about the world I think the only houses where classical music is being played are upper or middle class White peoples houses so their kids were always going to be higher performing than kids from rap and hip hop homes.
