I see stories of lots of people who will become e-famous somewhere and they'll no longer have their old friends, as in "I used to know this guy". It's almost as if e-fame turns people or the people around them crazy, and I'm sure the whole "piece of shit family member/friend uses someone with a job as a personal ATM" situation happens too.

That shit really pisses me off. I understand that it's important not to be selfish, but that doesn't mean that my friends and family are entitled to a huge chunk of my money if I become rich. If I do ever become rich, I would actually use that money wisely and either buy land to homestead or start a business, and not be those who end up spending it all on useless crap only to go bankrupt, shortly after. But I'm pretty sure my family would urge me to donate it all to some scam charity either way.

It seems like everyone I know online has family members like this, moreso in shithole third world countries or with abusive controlling parents.
They'll get a basic entry level job and their family will be wanting some of their money and to serve them their entire life, in a one way relationship.
