@coolboymew @xianc78 @idiot Shit like "timelines" and "worldbuilding" has been a disaster for fiction... Stories aren't supposed to have consistent histories. They might have them by chance, but it's not a core necessary element.

@coolboymew @xianc78 Skyward Sword was SO FUCKING SHITTY that they had to go back to the drawing board in all aspects of game design for mainline Zelda titles. Then they proceeded to not learn their lesson, and TotK is the proof.
I miss enjoying Nintendo games but it is what it is.

My gripe is that they did two decades of "A Link to the Past but it's [FILL IN THE BLANK GIMMICK]." Then that crashed and burned with SS, they made BotW, which was mostly a blank slate, and then proceeded to make "Breath of the Wild but it's [FILL IN THE BLANK GIMMICK]."
