We really know very little about the nature of the cosmos around us, because our perception as humans is very limited. The "weirdness" physicists encounter when they discuss quantum mechanics or dark energy is only the tip of the iceberg, so we should not put all our faith in science or human understanding. Do not close yourself off to the mystical and supernatural, for our feeble understanding is as nothing before the true majesty of the nature of things.

With that, you should be open to the idea that someone can be spiritually a different gender than their biological sex or spiritually a different species. Stop saying that trans, non-binary, plural, or otherkin people aren't valid.
